Scholarship Recipients
Many
entries were submitted from Weymouth
High School,
Boston
College
High School,
Cardinal
Spellman
High School,
Notre
Dame
Academy
and
South
Shore
Christian
Academy.
The
senior students are all residents of Weymouth. Because
Abigail Smith Adams was passionate about education, reading and
writing
the students were given a choice of one of
three of her quotations.
They
were asked to apply her words to a student of today.
This
year proved difficult for the Scholarship Committee to pick a sole
winner.
After
a careful and long deliberation it was
evident that
we had a tie.
Therefore,
it was decided to grant two $500.00 scholarships.
It
is with great pleasure that we announce the 2008 winners.
