The Abigail Adams Historical Society mourns the passing of Barbara Bush 1925-2018 this evening, April 17, 2018. We at the society are sadden by the news of her death. Barbara Bush was the only other woman besides Abigail Adams to be the wife of a United States President and the mother of a United States President. This year, 2018 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Abigail Adams in 1818. Like Abigail Adams, Barbara Bush had an immense impact on history. May she rest in peace.
