Renovations near completion

Our extensive renovations to the Abigail Adams’ Birthplace are now almost complete.  It’s been a long road but we’re almost there.  We started with replacing many of the supporting members of the house and reinforcing the ones that we kept.  The house is completely rewired and replumbed.  All the windows were carefully restored as to keep as much of the originals as we could.  The house is now getting prepped for new siding which will be completed in about 2 weeks.  Once that’s done, we’ll be full ahead with preparations for the the grand re-opening!  Check back here for more updates on that and our new initiatives and programs celebrating the life of Abigail Smith Adams.
